This document is provided for general information. It is not legal advice. You should obtain independent legal advice to ensure these terms meet your business needs and comply with applicable law.
1. What we collect
We may collect account details, contact details, authentication identifiers, listing details, vehicle details, uploaded photos and documents, messages, saved vehicles, enquiry content, test-drive requests, finance or insurance enquiry information, dealer business details, billing details, device and usage data, support communications, and consent or preference records.
Some information is provided directly by you. Some is generated through your use of the Platform. Some may come from service providers, lookup tools, payment processors, authentication providers, analytics tools, or other users who contact you through Drivaroo.
2. How we use information
We use information to operate Drivaroo, publish listings, connect buyers and sellers, authenticate users, process payments, provide dealer and private seller tools, send notifications and emails, moderate content, prevent fraud, improve performance, personalise experiences, comply with law, and enforce our Terms.
We may use de-identified or aggregated information to improve Drivaroo, understand marketplace activity, develop features, and report platform performance without identifying individual users where reasonably possible.
3. Sharing and disclosure
We may disclose information to hosting, database, authentication, payment, email, SMS, push notification, analytics, security, support, and infrastructure providers that help us run the Platform.
When you submit a finance, insurance, dealer, test-drive, quote, or similar enquiry, we may share the information you provide with the named provider, dealer, seller, or partner so they can respond. Their own privacy practices may also apply.
We may disclose information where required or permitted by law, to enforce our Terms, respond to disputes, protect users or the Platform, investigate fraud or security issues, or support a business sale, restructure, investment, or acquisition.
4. AI, lookup tools, and analytics
Some Drivaroo features may use AI, automated analysis, vehicle catalog matching, registration or VIN lookup, moderation, analytics, or caching services. Information you submit to those features may be processed by relevant service providers to deliver the feature, protect the Platform, or improve accuracy and safety.
Do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential business information, or documents that are not needed for the feature you are using.
6. Security and retention
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, accounting, security, dispute, backup, and enforcement purposes, then delete or de-identify it where practical.
7. Access, correction, and choices
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to identity verification, technical feasibility, legal retention needs, and exceptions under applicable law.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails where an unsubscribe option is provided. Transactional, account, security, billing, and legal notices may still be sent where required for the Platform.
8. Overseas and third-party processing
Some providers that support Drivaroo may store or process information outside Australia. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that information may be handled in locations where our providers operate, subject to their security and privacy commitments and applicable law.
9. Questions and complaints
